Country living, newer homes, and hard-working systems

Captain Joseph Ward settled Springtown in 1856 on a creek fed by natural springs and laid out the town square three years later, naming it Littleton's Springs. The city itself is still small, but the Springtown ISD area around it stretches across a wide sweep of Parker and Wise County countryside, and the typical home here is fairly new, with a median build year around 2000.

Rural and acreage properties put different demands on an HVAC system. Long gravel drives and open land mean more dust, so filters fill up faster and outdoor coils need regular cleaning. Many properties also have shops, barns, or workspaces that need heating and cooling of their own.

And with so many homes built around 2000, plenty of Springtown systems are well into their second decade, which is when the repair-or-replace decision starts coming up.

Springtown HVAC questions

Questions about your home, shop, or land? Call us at 817-863-1841.

How often should I change my filter on a rural property?

Check it every month. ENERGY STAR recommends changing it at least every three months, but homes on gravel roads or open land often need a fresh filter closer to monthly, especially in dry, windy weather.

Do you serve homes outside the Springtown city limits?

Yes. Most of the Springtown area sits outside the city limits, and we serve homes and properties throughout the surrounding Parker and Wise County countryside.

Can you install heating and cooling in a shop or barn?

Yes. A ductless mini split is usually the simplest option for an outbuilding, since it doesn't need ductwork and can heat and cool from one unit. We'll help you size it for the space.

My house was built around 2000. Is my system due for replacement?

It depends on the system, not the house. If your equipment is original, it's well past typical life expectancy. If it was replaced along the way, check the date on the outdoor unit. Our repair-or-replace guide on the blog walks through how to decide.
